Under The Udala Trees was one of the very first books I had signed as an aspiring blogger. It was around October of 2015 when I started toying with the idea of blogging about #diversebooks, so I began reading more books by marginalized authors than I used to, and once I started my blog in 2016, I never looked back! Meeting Chinelo Okparanta was wonderful. I hadn’t met any authors before that, so she was my first!
