  3. neverthelessbunpersisted said: The movie “Fried Green Tomatoes” is all about subtext. The book is just pretty explicitly lesbian. Having watched the movie long before reading the book, I was surprised by how obvious it was in the book, too. The movie holds a special place in my heart, having watched it when I was young before I really understood I was attracted to women. The book was good, but in a very different way.
