Between Mom and Jo


“Between Mom and Jo”, by Julie Anne Peters is a young adult novel which talks about the divorce of Nick’s lesbian mothers. It is from his perspective, but covers many different topics. Divorce/seperation is the main theme, of course, but it talks about homophobia from Nick’s teacher, family issues, homophobia from his adolescent babysitter, and so on. It had some pretty intense emotions, but I really enjoyed it. Julie Anne Peters is an incredible author.
