Anonymous: Do you know any books about wlw in long distance relationships? Thank you!

Hmm, not that I can recall, but maybe someone else can reblog and help??

My Year Zero was kinda long-distancey for both relationships the MC gets into – and the Theory of Love m/m and f/f anthology has a story in it where two women on different planets finally get to meet in person and be together after falling in love in the sci-fi equivalent of “online.”

I haven’t read these myself, but they seem to fit the bill:

Landing by Emma Donoghue (I haven’t read this title, but I do love Emma Donoghue’s writing in general.)

Distance Learning by Lyn Dowland

The Correspondence Artist by Barbara Browning

Love and Other Ruins by Karen X. Tulchinsky

Unexpected Dilemmas by Jessica Payseur

“Flying to Reach You” by Aubrey Moores

Anonymous: I came for you for spy recommendations last time and they were A+ grade do you have any cyberpunk lesbian/bi recommendations? =)

Glad I could help! The ones I know of are

Trouble and Her Friends by Melissa Scott
Burning Bright by Melissa Scott
Solitaire by Kelley Eskridge

The only one I read was Polymorph by Scott Westerfeld (genderless/queer main character?) I liked some aspects of it, but the transphobia and graphic rape scene definitely brought down my estimation of it. But I’ve heard only good things about Melissa Scott!

fortheloveofkori:

While I’m on the subject of tv show recommendations, does anyone know any good shows with positive wlw representation? (NO dead lesbians or suffering bisexuals, please) Or movies? Books?

At this point I’m so desperate for a good g/g romance that it doesn’t even matter what genre it is just give me two girls who are in love and get a happy ending please

I can help with books! Check out Tell Me Again How a Crush Should Feel by Sara Farizan, Everything Leads to You by Nina LaCour, Under the Lights and Out on Good Behavior by Dahlia Adler (full disclosure: that’s me), Style by Chelsea M. Cameron, and definitely Dating Sarah Cooper by Siera Maley, which I especially love for calling out the tragic lesbian trope in the text. And definitely keep an eye out for Georgia Peaches and Other Forbidden Fruit by Jaye Robin Brown, which comes out 8/30/16.

Also check out these lists:

Actually, most lesbian romance should end happily! That’s pretty much the definition of the romance genre.

Also, check out They Don’t Die for all kinds of happy wlw media representation!
